Well Hung Drywall Inc.
The company first started out in 2011, a small company led by James DeJohn. At the time, most of the projects taken on were commercial. Through a lot of hard work and dedication, the company and employees alike have grown tremendously. To this day, those same original employees have stayed, taking the time to learn the trade inside and out. Today we have grown to a crew of 11 employees who have been very capable of handling both commercial and residential jobs alike.
James DeJohn
As owner of Well Hung Drywall, James brings over 20 years of experience to the company. He started learning the trade at 15 years old hanging drywall for his friends family business. Inspired by his mentor and seeing the good that he could do he pushed on to learn more and his hunger for knowledge has never ceased. After several years of working for other companies, he began branching out on his own, taking on jobs himself and hiring a few people to help with his workload. In 2011, he started this company, which has now grown to 10 field employees and one office worker along with several other subcontractors. He has directed the company through countless commercial jobs including hotels, apartments, housing complexes, restaurants, professional offices, and other stores. There have also been several residential jobs including new builds and remodeling. His vision was to create a solid company that could help the community as a whole, individuals and other businesses alike, build their visions of the future.
Makayla DeJohn
Graduating high school in 2019, Makayla already had knowledge of the trade from the many years of her youth spent with her father. She was always asking to go to work with Dad and he couldn’t resist taking her along whenever he could. As she got older, he would show her how to use each tool and let her practice on scrap pieces. Makayla was like a sponge absorbing everything she could, even helping in the office on the weekends. When high school was over, there was no question for her that she wanted to follow in her Dad’s footsteps. She has really developed her skills in metal stud framing and even branched out to learn drywall and finishing as well. She hopes to continue to learn and grow with the company and one day be ready to take over for James to keep the business in the family.
